They stand around protesting like edgelords with fedoras on while everyone says shit like "it's already been tried" and they argue the U.S. wasn't TRUE capitalism.

Re: question for marxists and whatnot

By the time muh global communist utopia is a thing, anyone who advocates returning to a capitalist system probably won't be taken seriously.

In like the middle of a revolution any proletarians openly being reactionary would probably at least be viewed with suspicion.

Re: question for marxists and whatnot

Just picture the little enclave villages which end up dependent on child and adolescent labour for their businesses to have employees.

I'm picturing one in South Africa that has rainbows, the words "OPEN MINDEDNESS" in blue, and a portrait of Ayn Rand painted on a circular wall surrounding a capitalist enclave, with its daily newspaper, the Daily Fedora, publishing headlines such as "OPPRESSIVE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC BANS USAGE OF CARS IN CAPITAL CITY IN ACT OF ENVY AGAINST HARD WORKING, MIDDLE CLASS MOTOR ENTHUSIASTS"

Meanwhile the news on TV in the rest of the Socialist World Republic reports on the town's failing economy and the tendency of youth to move elsewhere after their start up businesses fail to attract workers beyond part-time students living in the enclave due to the Republic's full employment policy and co-operative economy.

No not just for being considered a reactionary. If we were to start killing people just for their views not being in line, it would would reach ridiculous levels of industrialized slaughter, which I think we would all like to avoid.

You'll probably never have to worry about it though because muh revolution sure isn't happening any time soon.

EDIT: In the incredibly unlikely scenario of a successful communist revolution in the US it would like look something like Euromaidan in Ukraine except not lead by neo-nazis, but with all the barricades and petrol bombs and such. Overthrowing the US government through straight up guerrilla warfare is almost as implausible as changing things through the ballot box.

Re: question for marxists and whatnot

They'd be taken about as seriously as people who advocate for a return to feudalism are today

I think you misunderstood me. I meant this as in they wouldn't be taken seriously because they're advocating for going back to a social order that's essentially outdated. I wasn't saying "capitalism is literally feudalism lmao"
